Meet Melissa
Melissa is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and holds NY/NJ school psychology certifications. She began her career as a school psychologist working in the educational domain from 2005 to 2014. After completing state licensing requirements, Melissa went on to work as a licensed psychologist. She established her own private practice in 2016 and currently works with all ages-young children through older adults.
Melissa's education and training has roots in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and School Psychology. Her other professional areas of passion and training include working with young children 3+, play therapy, and sand tray therapy.
When Melissa is not doing all things psychology, she enjoys biking, gardening, piano, watching superhero or comedy series on Netflix and spending time with her supportive husband, two sweet sons, and their adorable dogs Frappuccino, a Chiweenie-Jack Russell and Ginger, a Beagle mix.

Melissa found that she spent much time searching and gathering resources that were the perfect fit for her client's and their therapy goals- anything from the play realm such as connecting a client's latest gaming obsession to their therapy goals to more technical content such as trauma-focused therapy approaches. She began creating an extensive catalogue spreadsheet and thought it would be helpful to share such a resource catalogue with colleagues. But as the list quickly grew longer and longer, Melissa started thinking about the useful impact of these resources for the mental health profession on a global scale.
